The poet of the poker table, a ceramic artist, blacksmiths, and Quixote at Peak Performances

Joel Dias-Porter Is an award-winning poet who lives and writes poetry in Atlantic City - where he supports himself, in part, with casino winnings. The world premiere of Quixote, by composer Amy Beth Kirsten and director Mark DeChiazza, reimagines Cervantes’ classic at Montclair State University’s Peak Performances. State of the Arts takes a trip to Three Cedars Forge in Bridgeton, NJ to get a lesson from blacksmith Toby Kroll. Toby mentors Stephen Nuttall, who’s setting up his own blacksmith shop at Tuckerton Seaport. And, a visit to the NJ Arts Annual’s special 50th anniversary exhibition.
