NJ Spotlight News | Clip | New gun safety bills approved by Assembly committee

The Assembly Judiciary Committee has approved a package of gun safety bills backed by Gov. Phil Murphy. These include measures to require firearm safety training and mandate safe storage of guns. While Speaker Craig Coughlin has supported putting the bills up for a vote in the full Assembly, it’s not clear whether outgoing Senate President Steve Sweeney will post the bills in his chamber.
