Perhaps one of the most coveted pieces of property in New Jersey is Liberty State Park. With its birds-eye view of Manhattan, it’s an attractive parcel for developers. But environmentalists and others want to protect the park. So, they’re backing a bill that would prohibit the state from considering proposals for large-scale commercial development there.
