As Democratic congressional members tout the newly signed Inflation Reduction Act, one New Jersey representative is applauding the reinstatement of the Superfund tax on oil companies, a measure that is buried in the bill. Rep. Frank Pallone (D-6th) says the tax is expected to raise more than $11 billion to ensure polluters, not taxpayers, foot the bill to clean up toxic waste sites.
