NJTV HOSTS ANNUAL BENEFIT GALA CELEBRATING NEW JERSEY PUBLIC TELEVISION ON MAY 19 IN BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ

An evening of entertainment and celebration to benefit New Jersey public television; PSEG Chairman, President and CEO Ralph Izzo to be honored

April 9, 2018 – NEWARK, NJ – NJTV, New Jersey’s public television network, will host a benefit at American Beauty at Embassy Suites by Hilton Berkeley Heights on Saturday, May 19 at 6:30pm.

The event is the fifth benefit for NJTV, which marks seven years of operation this July and will celebrate NJTV’s initiatives and honor Ralph Izzo, Chairman, President, and CEO of PSEG, one of the state’s most influential leaders. The evening will be hosted by two talents from the NJTV News team: Anchor Mary Alice Williams and Correspondent Michael Hill.

“We are thrilled to honor Ralph Izzo,” said NJTV General Manager John Servidio.  “He joins a distinguished list of past NJTV gala honorees, including US Senator Cory Booker and NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal and represents the best of New Jersey and its dynamic business sector.”

The funds raised from this event are critical to advancing NJTV’s mission: to tell New Jersey’s story in a way that enlightens, educates and entertains and to continually innovate how that story gets told.

NJTV brings quality arts, education, and public affairs programming to audiences state-wide from its headquarters in Newark, with a second studio at New Jersey City University and content bureaus across the state.

An evening of mingling, local cuisine and entertainment is planned, featuring a live performance by jazz musician and singer Brian Newman.  There will also be a special performance by the Camden Sophisticated Sisters Drill Team.
