New Jerseyans will get the latest election results and insight from on-air and online coverage; post-election analysis continues on NJTV News and public affairs programing

October 31, 2014—NJTV, New Jersey’s public television network, announced its plans for  live broadcast and online coverage of the Garden State’s general elections on November 4.

NJTV’s election coverage, entitled NJDecides: 2014, will include a live update at 8pm and full coverage beginning at 10pm (ET).  Coverage will culminate with the regularly-scheduled NJTV News broadcast at 11pm on NJTV. Throughout the night, viewers will get the latest polling results, news and race analysis from news correspondents and expert panelists.   

 “NJTV is a go-to resource for the state’s political news and during important events like these general elections,” said NJTV’s General Manager John Servidio. “We’ll cover Election Night across the state, and continue to break down the results in their wake on the NJTV News with Mary Alice Williams and programs like On the Record and Reporters Roundtable with Michael Aron.”

NJTV News Mary Alice Williams will anchor the NJDecides 2014: Election Night broadcast, periodically joined by Chief Political Correspondent Michael Aron and field correspondents David Cruz, Michael Hill, Christie Duffy and Lauren Wanko as well as political experts. Among those slated to appear Roger Bodman (Senior Partner, Public Strategies Impact); Jamel Holley (Mayor of Roselle and Democratic Strategist); Brigid Harrison (Professor, Political Science and Law at Montclair State University) and Krista Jenkins (Professor of Political Science & Executive Director, PublicMind at Fairleigh Dickinson University).

NJTV News followers will also be asked to share perspectives on local issues and observations from the polls.

After the elections, viewers will find continued news and analysis on NJTV’s news and public affairs programs, including NJTV News with Mary Alice Williams which airs weeknights at 6pm, 7:30pm and 11pm; On the Record with Michael Aron airing Saturdays at 6:30pm and Sundays at 10am and Reporters Roundtable with Michael Aron airs Saturdays at 5:30pm and Sundays at 9am.
