Coverage Continues NJTV’s NJ Decides: 2012 election season programming

September 4, 2012 – MONTCLAIR, N.J. – NJTV, New Jersey’s public television network, announced its local coverage plans for the Democratic National Convention and its Keynote address.

NJTV’s weeknight news program, NJ Today, anchored by Managing Editor Mike Schneider, will feature special reports throughout the duration of the Democratic National Convention September 4-6th in Charlotte, NC, which includes Newark Mayor Cory Booker as a speaker. Chief Political Correspondent Michael Aron and Correspondent David Cruz will be on-site covering the New Jersey Delegation and behind-the-scenes Convention activities. Back at home in NJ Today‘s Montclair studio, Schneider will break down the day’s events and oversee expert analysis during the news program’s regularly-scheduled evening broadcast. Each night of the Convention, viewers can expect reports from the field and interviews with the most influential figures in New Jersey state politics.

Tonight,Tuesday, September 4th, NJTV will air NJ Decides 2012: The Democratic National Convention Keynote Speech, a high-definition broadcast of San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro’s entire convention Keynote address. The timing of the broadcast will align with the speech itself, expected to take place in the 10pm hour (subject to change). NJTV will also stream the DNC Keynote speech live at www.njtvonline.org/njtoday. For those that miss it, the network will encore the speech on-air tonight at 11pm and Wednesday, September 5th at 2am (check local listings).
