Sweeney says recovery will take years

Earlier this week, Gov. Phil Murphy said the state is on the brink of financial disaster. That means tough decisions are ahead for cuts to programs and paying the state’s debts. But he can’t make those decisions alone. Murphy will need the help of legislators, and notably one Democratic leader who’s rarely in agreement: Senate President Steve Sweeney.

Sweeney has his own ideas for reopening the economy. He spoke with Senior Correspondent David Cruz.
