Snow Hits New Jersey, Making Travel More Difficult

We got hit again. Parts of the Garden State were still digging out from the snow and ice over the weekend when another storm came to town. And once again, it made it very tough to get around.

The snow seemed to arrive just in time for the morning commute, making motoring a very intense proposition. Speeds were lowered on the Turnpike and Parkway. The rails were also running slower, with half-hour delays being reported this morning on NJ Transit and some Manhattan-bound trains being diverted through Hoboken because of the snow.

Many schools around the state were closed, giving the kids a chance to go out and play. And picture postcard scenes seemed to arrive at the right time of the year, even for those who had places to go today.
