Rutgers-Camden sleep out exposes students to homeless experience

Walking by the homeless, one often imagines what it must feel like to live on the streets, especially in the winter — last week, one Rutger-Camden student decided to take it a step further.

Junior Nitan Shanas organized a sleep out on campus to simulate the homeless experience for his fellow classmates. The event saw about 20 students sleeping in 26 degree weather, equipped with some sleeping bags and cardboard, to raise awareness for homelessness.
