A new report finds more than four out of 10 children in New Jersey have experienced a traumatic event in their life, with many more living through multiple. They can include abuse, neglect, domestic violence and mental illness to name a few.

NJTV Correspondent Michael Hill sat down with Arturo Brito, the executive director of the Nicholson Foundation, one of the organizations that released the study to discuss the challenges in preventing and helping those with Adverse Childhood Experiences, or ACEs, and a proposal for a coordinated statewide effort to address the issue.
