NJ Human Services Commissioner says it’s wrong to cut SNAP benefits

In this season of giving, the Murphy administration is using Nov. 10-16 to raise awareness and encourage food-insecure New Jerseyans to apply for benefits from the federally-funded Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Human Services Commissioner Carole Johnson says more New Jerseyans are in need of SNAP or other food assistance than those already enrolled, and she says she’s disappointed in a Trump administration proposal that would cut benefits for some low-income families.
