Meteorologist John Cifelli told NJTV News Managing Editor Mike Schneider that the heaviest snowfall will be overnight Sunday.
“On Sunday we are looking for some light snow showers north and some short rain showers to the south. As the day goes on Sunday, we will see snow behind to press further south,” said Cifelli.
Cifelli said for the most part, Sunday will be benign.
“Sunday overnight and into Monday we will really see the snowfall intensity start to pick up. Heaviest snow will fall Sunday night into Monday,” said Cifelli.
Accumulations could be a few inches in the far west corner of the state with more happening in the center portion, said Cifelli.
There could be five to 10 inches in Mercer and Middlesex counties, said Cifelli.
“If we see another snowstorm in March, it will be the snowiest winter in the history of New Jersey,” said Cifelli.
