The number of positive COVID-19 cases across New Jersey is now at a total of 890 with 11 deaths — that’s 155 new cases overnight. State leaders say that number is likely lighter due to some delays in reporting. The outbreak has reached at least 20 out of 21 counties, according to the New Jersey Department of Health.

We’ve been hearing it all week, but it’s worth repeating that the numbers are expected to reach into the many thousands. And that’s not just because of the spread, but also the increase in testing. The Murphy administration moved to close all adult medical day care facilities Friday, adding that they’ll continue tightening the screws on social distancing and closures.
