The number or coronavirus cases continues to rise dramatically. The latest update from state leaders Tuesday afternoon reports 89 new cases of COVID-19, putting the state’s total at 267, including three deaths.
The cases are now in 15 out of 21 counties and the youngest case is just 5 years old.
To put everything into perspective, as recently as 11 days ago New Jersey had one case in one county. This as residents begin the first day of extensive social distancing measures to help flatten the curve and slow the spread of the virus. Tuesday the governor again reminded folks this is no time to panic, but community transmission is still a big concern.
