Jersey City mayor fights to save Christ Hospital

Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop says Christ Hospital may face an imminent closure, as talks to sell the health care facility have stalled. He’s asking for Gov. Phil Murphy to help broker a deal between the hospital’s owner, CarePoint Health, and RWJ Barnabas, which had been interested in buying it.

About 100 New Jersey companies are still waiting for state tax break payments under the Economic Development Authority’s incentive programs.

Home prices rose nearly 6% in New Jersey last year, due to strong demand.
