Heart disease awareness day focuses on connecting women with screenings

The number one killer of women in the United States is heart disease. On Friday, the American Heart Association hosted “Go Red for Women,” a day to raise awareness about the warning signs and give women access to critical health screenings like cholesterol and blood pressure checks. Some took advantage of the crucial checkups at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick.
