In search of the perfect deal, crowds came to stores across New Jersey in waves Friday — and not all shoppers hailed from the Greater New York City area.
Consumers came from other countries, including Germany, Brazil and Israel, some even planning their vacations around Black Friday.
“We come back a lot because it’s so cheap here compared to back home,” said shopper Amy Ross, who lives in Ireland. “Back home is so expensive.”
The National Retail Federation says that, due to consumer financial confidence, sales are expected to grow about 4% this holiday season, which is higher than the growth in previous years.
