Westfield was the site of one of the multiple protests nationwide, triggered by President Trump’s firing of Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The protests were organized by MoveOn.org and were meant to call attention to what they felt was a move by the president to jeopardize the Mueller investigation.

Correspondent Michael Hill spoke with protesters in front of outgoing congressman Leonard Lance’s office, where dozens of people chanted and displayed signs. There was some friction with passersby, as one woman pulled her car over to throw water at the protesters.

NJTV News also spoke with Lacey Rzeszowski, the co-founder of Summit Marches On and Janice Seigel, a former assistant U.S. attorney, who spoke about their reason for taking to the streets to protest this move by the president.
