The state’s mayors head to Trenton and on their minds are the Transportation Trust Fund, pension reform and affordable housing. On their agendas is urging legislators to get something done.

After 11 homicides in a single month a new public safety plan for Newark is in effect. Operation Forge Ahead intends to reduce crime and violence in 45 days.

And the National Transportation Safety Board wants one less for the road. They’re proposing lowering the legal blood alcohol limit to 0.05 percent, but only the state can make it stick.
