The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce has launched a new campaign to support small businesses in the state. “Buy NJ” urges residents and businesses to buy goods and services from New Jersey’s smaller merchants in order to help the state’s economic recovery succeed.
As unemployed residents wait to be called back to work, many will be getting extra money to tide them over. The State Labor Department has started reviewing claims to see if workers who exhausted their unemployment benefits are now eligible for a 13 week extension. Workers are being notified by email or text if they are eligible.
New Brunswick-based Johnson & Johnson will stop selling its baby powder in the United States and Canada. Johnson & Johnson has faced thousands of lawsuits from people alleging the talc-based powder contains cancer-causing asbestos, which J&J denies.
