Boston Bombing Suspect Charged, No Word From Sister In West New York

It was Friday when Alina Tsarnaev cracked open the door to her West New York apartment and expressing horror at what her brothers, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, allegedly did. But today, her promised press conference failed to happen. What did happen was in Boston, where a moment of silence was observed in the exact spot where the first of two bombs exploded one week ago, and where 19-year old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, still in a hospital bed, was charged with conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction resulting in death. Federal authorities say they actually have video showing him slipping off the backpack that allegedly contained a bomb, and putting it on the ground where the second explosion occurred. Today, New Jersey’s Attorney General Jeff Chiesa told NJ Today his office responded quickly when they learned of that attack.

“It was really impressive to me to watch how coordinated we are, watch how in synch we are and watch how closely we work together with the the federal law enforcement partners,” said Chiesa.
