A North Jersey toddler has died from the flu, marking the fourth flu-related pediatric death this season.
State health officials say the child, who died in early March, had several underlying medical conditions.
It is unclear whether the toddler had been vaccinated.
Officials are urging people who haven’t had one to get a flu shot.
“It’s not too late to get a flu shot to protect yourself and others who may not be able to get vaccinated for medical reasons,” said Health Commissioner Shereef Elnahal.
