Political Reporters Learn Where to Find Information

The Center for Cooperative Media recently held a seminar entitled “Take a Deep Dive into Politics” for New Jersey investigative and political reporters to learn where to find political information.

Kathy Kiely, managing editor of the Sunlight Foundation, said Sunlight’s Influence Explorer provides the most recent Federal Election Commission filings in the highly-contested NJ Congressional third district race. Those interested canget alerts when new reports are filed. Political Party Time offers a way to see invitations to political fundraisers from across the country.

The event also featured representatives of the American Press Institute, PolitiFact and Rutgers University’s New Jersey Data Book.
