Pascack Valley Line largely replaced by buses during summer track work

It’s a major service disruption for some NJ Transit riders. Between July 7 and Aug. 24, the Pascack Valley Line will only run trains during morning and evening rush hour as workers repair railroad crossings.

Weekday off-peak trains and all weekend trains will be replaced by buses.

Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi represents part of the state served by the line. “There hasn’t been any notice — or adequate notice — for people to adjust their schedules,” she said. “I think it’s just part and parcel of an agency that needs to get its act together and provide the level of service commensurate with what people are paying.”

NJ Transit says they have given customers information about the track work since June through their website, mobile app and on posters displayed at stations.
