Neo-pop visual artist showcases work in Stone Harbor

An international, neo-pop visual artist will showcase his vibrant, bold and colorful masterpieces for the first time in southern New Jersey.

The “Romero Britto – Brilliant World of Color” Exhibition will appear at Ocean Galleries in Stone Harbor.  The artist will feature 100 pieces of his art collection — ranging from mixed media to paintings to sculptures, all with his iconic style and brilliant colors.

Britto is known for creating pieces of playful themes and hard‐edged compositions. His work has garnered worldwide recognition in galleries and museum exhibitions in over 100 countries.

He also supports charitable endeavors such as the Elton’s John’s Aids Foundation and The Prince’s Trust (founded by Prince Charles). Britto will donate a piece of artwork to The Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children in Avalon.

The exhibition is free and open to the public with all artwork available for acquisition.  The gallery exhibit hours are Friday, Aug. 4 through Tuesday, Aug. 8, 10 a.m to 10 p.m.  Receptions with Britto will be hosted Saturday, Aug. 5 from 7 to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m.
