It’s an exciting time at NJTV News as we broadcast for the first time from our new home, the Agnes Varis NJTV Studio at 2 Gateway Center in Newark. For the first time since our network’s launch in July 2011, we’ll have a broadcast hub all our own. From a tremendous and advantageous location in New Jersey’s largest city, our NJTV News with Mary Alice Williams team will bring you the latest headlines and issues every weeknight. We will cover New Jersey in a way that New York and Philadelphia television stations don’t.
Our new, state-of-the-art studio affords us more resources and technology than ever before, making our team more nimble in its news gathering and reporting. So working in tandem with our other facilities at the Trenton State House studio and content bureaus in universities across the state, we can amp up our coverage for our viewers even more, and our work will be seen not only on-air and online, but also by the thousands that pass by our Gateway corridor every day. (Think 30 Rock — Jersey style!)
What’s more, our new facility includes a community room, where we can engage with you more directly for special events, screenings and gatherings.
For me, personally, it’s been a rewarding ride, helping grow our newscast over the last few years. We’re at a new launch point — and stay tuned for all we have in store for you from our new studio!
