After months of speculation about a possible run to become the mayor of Trenton, Assemblyman Reed Gusciora has made it official.
“I think that it is a good opportunity to look for a new partnership with the Governor. Gov. Christie was a horrific partner for the last eight years,” Gusciora told NJTV News on Friday.
The assemblyman praised the work of the current Mayor Eric Jackson, who announced on Friday that he is not seeking re-election.
The democratic lawmaker has represented the 15th legislative district, which encompasses Trenton, for over fifteen years.
Gusciora has been a vocal critic of Christie’s controversial plans to renovate the State House two state office buildings.
