Senior Correspondent David Cruz is an award-winning journalist with a 25-year career in television, radio and newspapers. He began as a correspondent on North Hudson News, a nightly newscast covering Hudson County.

He served as managing editor and editor in chief of the Hudson Reporter newspapers, covering Jersey City, Hoboken and North Hudson County. He wrote the popular Latin Beat column and launched the Union City and West New York editions.

At WBGO-FM, David was part of the award-winning WBGO News team, writing features and commentary for NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered (and hosting a few shifts behind the turntables at Jazz 88). He also launched Newark Today, the award-winning call in show with Newark Mayor Cory Booker and has been a frequent guest host for the Brian Lehrer Show and Soundcheck on WNYC.
