New Jersey Arts Annual: Dissonance

Friday, April 3, 2020 – Sunday, September 6, 2020. Dissonance – Art│Craft│Design│Performance│New Media. In music, dissonance describes the tension that arises from discordant elements, which in turn helps us better appreciate harmony. Inspired by this concept, the exhibition explores artistic expression at the juncture of conflict and resolution. Jurors Lowery Stokes Sims, Independent Curator and Curator Emerita of the Museum of Arts and Design, and Dr. Cleveland Johnson, Executive Director of the Morris Museum, present a multidisciplinary selection of new works that highlight the creativity of the visual and performing arts of New Jersey today. Museum Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 11:00AM to 5:00PM and Sunday 12:00PM to 5:00PM. 2nd and 3rd Thursday 11:00AM to 8:00PM. The Museum is closed on Mondays.
