MORRISTOWN, NJ – The Morris County Historical Society’s headquarters at Acorn Hall will be closed for Christmas and New Year’s observances on Monday, Dec. 23, through Saturday, Dec. 28, and Monday, Dec. 30, through Saturday, Jan. 4. Acorn Hall will be open for tours Sundays, Dec. 22 and Dec. 29. Beginning in the new year, tours will be available on Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in addition to Wednesday and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. When MCHS reopens on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, the Victorian-era clothing that was displayed during the holiday exhibit will be enhanced by the addition of cold weather garments, 1850-1900. The new exhibit, Highest Winter Fashions: The Best of Our 19th-Century Winter Collection, will be available until Tuesday, March 3.
