Caring for Home Lawns-GCCG Home Garden School

Gloucester Co. Certified Gardeners Home Garden School Class-All Aspects of lawn care will be discussed. An overview of turf grass types and selection, uses, establishment and general cultural needs including fertilization, irrigation, mowing and cultivation are included. Insect pests, infectious and non-infectious diseases will be covered. Participants will learn the common causes of these problems, and integrated pest management strategies for each. Taught by Rich Buckley, Rutgers Diagnostic Lab Director. NJ Pesticide Recertification Credits are available for this class. Garden school classes are held every Wednesday morning, January through May, at the Offices of Government Services Complex in Clayton. Classes are $15 each, and if you register for 5 or more, they are $10 each. Pre-registration is requested but not required and walk-ins are welcome.
