The Urge to Paint: W. Carl Burger

One of New Jersey's most beloved artists, W. Carl Burger, is profiled at the age of 90, as the Morris Museum mounts a retrospective of his eclectic work. Born in Germany, Burger tells the story of serving in the U.S. Armed Forces in WWII. Fate brought him back to the city he was born, Pforzheim, which had been decimated by bombs. It became a subject of his art.
