Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty
Matthew Bourne’s haunting new scenario for the ballet is a gothic fairy tale for all ages. His supernatural love story introduces vampires and spans a century, from 1890 to the present. This timeless fairy tale, about a young girl cursed to sleep for 100 years, was first turned into a legendary ballet by Tchaikovsky and choreographer Marius Petipa in 1890.
