NJTV transmitters in Sussex, Hackettstown, and Belvidere undergoing upgrades beginning on or about September 19, 2016

September 6, 2016 —

NJTV’s programming provided through the Sussex, Hackettstown, and Belvidere transmitters is being upgraded to High Definition by the New Jersey Public Broadcasting Authority (NJPBA) on or about September 19th through the 30th.  During this time reception may be impaired.  Once the upgrade is complete, a rescan of your television or set top box is required.  Please follow the re-scanning instructions appropriate for your equipment.

Four high-power transmitters were converted to DTV (digital signal) between 1999 and 2003, as required by the FCC.  The three low-power translators at Sussex, Hackettstown and Brass Castle, not previously required to be converted, are now being upgraded to improve the signal for our viewers.

We appreciate your patience during this conversion and apologize for any inconvenience.  Thank you for watching NJTV!
