Fills in for a vacationing Mike Schneider January 15th, 16th & 17th
January 15-17, 2014 — MONTCLAIR NJ — Veteran news anchor Harry Martin fills in for NJTV News managing editor and anchor Mike Schneider this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night while Schneider is on vacation.
Martin is a two-time Emmy award winning TV journalist. Most recently he anchored The 10 O’Clock News at My9 (WWOR), and The 6 PM News on Fox 5 New York (WNYW). Before joining Fox News in 1997, Martin anchored Eyewitness News This Morning and Eyewitness News at Noon on WABC-TV in New York.
Throughout his 40 year career in broadcasting, he has covered every presidential race since Jimmy Carter. With his love of politics, Martin was particularly excited to cover several Democratic and Republican National political conventions. He reported on then-Senator Barack Obama’s stepping into the national spotlight in Boston in 2004, and his nomination in the Presidential campaigns of 2008 and 2012.
Now the New Jersey resident is fronting the NJTV News desk.
“I was always a big Mike Schneider ‘fan’, so filling in for him was an extra bonus,” said Martin. “The crew and staff here are some of the best I’ve ever worked with. A tremendous group. ”
During previous Schneider absences, veteran broadcasters Mary Alice Williams and Jack Ford have filled in.
NJTV News with Mike Schneider airs weeknights at 6, 7:30 and 11pm on NJTV (check local listings).
