December 18th, 2013 — Driving Jersey’s executive producer Steve Rogers travels the state experiencing a wide array of festive traditions. At Allaire Historic Village in Farmingdale, the yuletide is celebrated as they did in the winter of 1836. In Medford Village, the townspeople consider the Dickens Festival not only the highlight of the holiday, but of the entire year. And the day before Christmas Eve in Manahawkin, the hair salon is nearly as crowded as the mall, which is somehow more indicative of the season.
