September 18, 2013 – MONTCLAIR, NJ – Montclair State University announced that the University will host the state’s second gubernatorial debate of the 2013 election season at the University’s Alexander Kasser Theater on Tuesday, October 15,2013 from 8-9:30pm ET (check local listings). The debate between Governor Chris Christie and State Senator Barbara Buono will be broadcast statewide on NJTV, New Jersey’s public television network. The 90-minute debate broadcast, entitled NJDecides 2013: The New Jersey Gubernatorial Debate, will be moderated by NJ Today’s Managing Editor and Anchor Mike Schneider.
The debate will also will be simulcast in Spanish by Vme, the regional public television digital channel, and a Spanish translation also will be provided via SAP. It will be rebroadcast by NJTV, THIRTEEN, and WWOR-TV in New York.
The debate will also be livestreamed on the websites of Montclair State University and NJTV. Check local listings on NJTV’s website: http://www.njtvonline.org/about/where-to-watch/. Join the discussion on the debate on Facebook and Twitter using hashtag #NJDecides.
A filing room for credentialed press will be available on campus at University Hall, within walking distance of the Kasser Theater where the debate will be held. There, journalists will be able to watch the televised event and campaign representatives are expected to make themselves available to media available after the debate.

A separate advisory with detailed instructions for attending and for interested press will also be sent out the week of September 23, 2013.
Space for the public to attend will be limited. Details on how the public may obtain tickets to be announced soon.
