July 26, 2012- Voorhees, NJ – Neal Shapiro, President and CEO of WNET and NJTV, New Jersey’s Public Television Network, served as keynote speaker at the South Jersey Summer Institute Closing Dinner on July 26th at the Mansion on Main Street in Voorhees, NJ.

The Institute, now in its 21styear and coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce-Southern New Jersey, is a program that teaches educators about the businesses and issues that affect the regional economy and the skills students need to be competitive.
At the ceremony, NJTV presented Institute graduate, Aleasa Young from Camden City, with a scholarship that covers the cost of enhanced lesson plans for NJTV’s upcoming Electronic Field Trips for the 2012-13 school year. The Electronic Field Trips are innovative distance learning programs from the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation broadcast on NJTV.
