May 29, 2012 – TRENTON, N.J. – NJTV, New Jersey’s new public television network, announced that it will broadcast the confirmation hearing of Governor Chris Christie’s second Supreme Court nominee, Bruce A. Harris, live this Thursday, May 31 in Trenton. If confirmed, Harris, who currently serves as mayor of Chatham Borough, would become New Jersey’s first openly gay justice.
NJTV’s coverage will begin at the anticipated start of the hearing, 10:30am ET, and run the course of the day’s proceedings (actual start and end times subject to change). If the hearing extends beyond Thursday, NJTV will extend its coverage accordingly.
The network’s week-nightly news program, NJ Today, anchored by Managing Editor Mike Schneider, will also provide analysis of the day’s events in its evening broadcast.
