The 2012 NJ Governor’s Conference for Women is slated for Tuesday, May 7-8, at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The theme of the 2012 NJ Governor’s Conference for Women is “It’s All About You.”
Dr. Lois Frankel, noted author (Nice Girls Don’t Get The Corner Office and Nice Girls Don’t Get Rich)and lecturer, will deliver the keynote address. In addition, Peggy Noonan, a columnist at The Wall Street Journal, and Donna Brazile, a syndicated columnist and TV political commentator, will headline the opening session of the Conference. Other featured speakers include Carla Harris, manager at Morgan Stanley Investment Management; Dr. Ian Smith, medical/diet expert on Celebrity Fit Club; and Bonnie St. John, author, TV personality and former Olympic skier.
Attendees can choose from numerous educational and motivational sessions in such areas as career development, personal finance, healthy living, business startups and leadership. The session topics and speakers are all designed to address conference participants’ interests and backgrounds.
A nine-hole golf outing has been added to this year’s conference, with proceeds going to underwrite conference admissions.
A “one-stop” counseling center will provide participants with feedback on career building, resumes and employment opportunities with staff and resources provided by the NJ Department of Labor, NJ Economic Development Authority and others.
