Flooding Concerns Persist as Rivers Expected to Crest

5-1-14

The heavy rain storm that hit the state left plenty of areas flooded. Morris County Office of Emergency Director Jeff Paul told NJTV News Correspondent David Cruz that some of the rivers haven’t crested yet, which could mean more flood waters. The county remains under a flood warning until 1 a.m. Friday.

Paul said OEM is still paying attention to the storm’s aftermath. He also said that is hoping that within the next 24 hours, some of the flood water starts to recede and that some of the roads that had to be closed will begin to reopen.

According to Paul, the forecast isn’t calling for more significant rain, which is good news for the areas that were inundated with water.
