    Press Release/ Annual Memorial 9/11 Public Servants Mass
    Continuing a tradition that began when he was Chaplain at the William Paterson University Catholic Campus Ministry, Father Lou Scurti will be celebrant at the Annual “9/11 Public Servants Mass” honoring the Police, Firefighters, EMTS, Paramedics, and other public servants from local towns as well as Prosecutor’s Office, the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department and William Paterson University Police.
    The Mass which will take place on Wednesday Sept. 11, 2013 at noon will honor the men and women, first responders from Wayne, Haledon, North Haledon, and Prospect Park, towns that serve the communities around the University.
    Msgr Peter Doody invited Father Scurti to continue the commemoration at Annunciation Parish, Urban Club Road, Wayne, NJ.
    Participants will include the Mayors of the local towns, the University President, Dr Kathleen Waldron, Straight & Narrow Gospel Choir, members of the various churches, synogogues and mosques in the area as well musicians from William Paterson Music Department, including Professor Karen Demsey.
