Tropicana plans $35M renovation in Atlantic City


ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) — The Tropicana Casino and Resort plans a $35 million renovation to its Atlantic City buildings which will include the addition of an LED light show on its exterior.

The project also would re-do the 434 hotel rooms in the Tropicana’s north tower.

If approved by state authorities, the work would get underway in the third quarter of this year.

It should be completed by the end of 2015.

The renovation plan announced Tuesday also would add retail areas, a new fitness center, and an extension of the dining room of the FIN seafood restaurant.
