NJ teacher on leave after shouting video posted

12-18-13

FAIR LAWN, N.J. (AP) — Officials have placed a teacher in northern New Jersey on leave while they investigate a video posted online that shows a man yelling at a student in a classroom.

The man is obstructed by the student in the video and the boy’s responses are barely audible as the situation escalates.

The man raises his voice and stands, shouting, “I’m your teacher. Don’t ever tell me what to do. You get it now?” As the boy walks away, the teacher tells him, “Now go cry to your counselor.”

School board President Michael Rosenberg tells The Record (http://bit.ly/19S8Hil ) newspaper the superintendent is investigating. Rosenberg declined to identify the teacher.
