MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — A day of fun in the snow ended in a trip to the hospital for an 11-year-old in northern New Jersey.
The boy was sledding down a steep slope that ended at a fenced-in retaining wall in Mount Olive Township on Tuesday.
Police Chief Mark Spitzer tells The Daily Record of Parsippany (http://dailyre.co/1e52jvm ) because of his speed, the boy slid under the fence, fell approximately 20 to 25 feet and hit a tree.
The boy was taken to a hospital for evaluation of head and internal injuries.
His name and condition were not released.
