MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — The body of southern New Jersey woman who went missing this week has been found, and authorities say her death has been ruled a homicide.
Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk said 41-year-old Fatima Perez of Camden was found around 11 a.m. Wednesday, buried in an open area in Monroe Township. Faulk says she died of asphyxiation.
Faulk said two men considered “persons of interest” in the case have been detained, but he declined to release their names or provide further details on the investigation.
Perez was last seen alive on Monday.
