LINDEN, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say a northern New Jersey man suffered a graze wound to his head when someone started shooting at the parked car he was sitting in.
The Star-Ledger (http://bit.ly/1kfb7Bk) reports that the shooting occurred around 11:15 p.m. Saturday in Linden.
The man told police he was sitting in a parked car on Cleveland Avenue when he spotted another car slowly driving down the street. He soon heard three or four gunshots ring out and realized he had been struck.
The victim ran to a nearby house for help and was later taken to a hospital for treatment. His name and further details on his condition were not disclosed, but authorities say the wound was not life-threatening.
No other injuries were reported.
A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
