EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Atlantic City International Airport is rewarding repeat passengers with a loyalty program.
The program offers perks such as reserved parking, discounts on retail purchases and promotional items. More than 2,100 customers have enrolled since “iFlyACY” began in November.
Interim general manager E.J. Mullins tells The Press of Atlantic City (http://bit.ly/1oalUvW ) the program helps the airport learn more about its passengers and where they’d like to fly to. Mullins says that information is shared with airlines in hopes of opening new markets.
About 1.1 million passengers used the airport in 2013, an 18 percent decline blamed on the lingering effects of Superstorm Sandy.
However, scheduled passenger traffic rose 28 percent in April when United Airlines started offering nonstop flights to Atlantic City from Chicago and Houston.
