Oasis Church officially launched in September 2010 with only a handful of people with a unique vision. According to David Butler, Oasis Lead Pastor, “we decided to meet in locations other than traditional buildings because we wanted to go where people who normally don’t go to a church feel safe and cozy. Our goal is make Jesus known to the people so that they can experience God in their everyday relationships and lives. More than anything thing else in this uncertain world of terrorism and economic crisis, people want purpose and answers to life’s most difficult questions. They want relevancy. “ Butler, a former NJ Family Court Probation Officer, went on to state, “All people, where they are in their spiritual journey, are welcome at our family friendly church. “
